Aladdin's Cave was established in 1969 by the late Arthur Wittstock and his son David. Together they ran a small store selling mostly toys and some gift items. As the years progressed, the business expanded and began to stock more and more craft items. The day came when toys were done away with all together and the crafts remained. In 1986 an opportunity arose to open a second store. This store was called Busy Hands.
Busy Hands, in the Atlas Mall, was owned and run by Margaret Wittstock, wife of David, but has since been purchased by their niece, Claire, as they headed into retirement. This family business, now involving it's third generation, still strives to provide a comprehensive range of craft products, good advice and excellent service.
